Jim Reeves

 

Jim Reeves is a Certified Athletic Therapist (CATA) and Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA) who has been with Mind to Muscle in Mississauga, Canada since 2001. Jim is the Programming Coordinator at Mind to Muscle, responsible for designing all team and individual training programs, working directly with professional and private clients and involved in the administration of Mind to Muscle's Sports Performance Department.

Jim currently oversees and is directly responsible for Mind to Muscle's Professional and Amateur Athlete Development Programs, working directly with athletes in hockey, figure skating, baseball, soccer, boxing, beach volleyball and the Special Olympics. Jim has been the performance training consultant for the largest minor hockey organization in Canada for six years now, having written over fifty performance and training related articles for the Ontario Minor Hockey Association's magazine “Hometown Hockey”. Jim is also an exclusive contributor to the Greater Toronto Hockey League's magazine “Breakout” as well as involved with the Ontario Hockey Federation's Under-16 and Under 17 Player Evaluation Process.

Prior to joining Mind to Muscle, Jim worked as an Athletic Therapist for four years in the Ontario Hockey League with teams in Belleville and Sudbury and two years with Team Ontario for the World Under-17 Championships. Jim also worked in two prominent sports medicine clinics as a Clinical Athletic Therapist in Toronto prior to joining the OHL. Jim graduated from York University with an Honors Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, as well as having played two seasons for York's Varsity Hockey team.

Jim and his wife, Leanna live in Newmarket, Ontario and have four children; Evan, Kyle, Nicholas and Madison.
